This training provides mental health professionals with an overview of fraud, waste, and abuse within private practice, with a focus on ethical billing practices and professional responsibility. Training on this content is required annually for all providers and practices who participate with Medicaid and Medicare services. Participants will learn to recognize common FWA risks in mental health settings, understand applicable legal and regulatory expectations, and identify appropriate steps for prevention and reporting. Emphasis is placed on maintaining professional integrity and ethical practice.
